FOSS4G-Asia 2026 - Call for Proposals
FOSS4G-Asia 2026 is pleased to announce the call for submission of proposals (Academic, General or Workshop).
Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) is transforming how we understand, manage, and shape the world around us. From government agencies to startups, classrooms to research labs, FOSS4G tools are driving inclusive innovation, strategic decision-making, and sustainable development.
This platform celebrates the power of open geospatial ecosystems—where collaboration, transparency, and adaptability fuel progress across sectors. Whether you’re mapping climate resilience, training future-ready professionals, or visualizing complex data, FOSS4G offers the freedom to build, share, and scale.
Submission for General Track will be abstracts only.
Authors of accepted abstracts in the Academic and Poster Tracks will be invited to deliver oral or Poster presentation and submit full paper manuscript. While full paper submission is encouraged, it is not mandatory.
Selected manuscripts will be published in a special issue of The GIS-IDEAS Journal (TGIJ), while others will be included in the FOSS4G-Asia 2026 e-Proceedings (with an ISBN). All submitted manuscripts—whether for the TGIJ special issue or the e-Proceedings, will undergo a peer-review process prior to final publication.
Authors whose submissions are selected for publication in the TGIJ FOSS4G-Asia 2026 Special Issue must complete registration and pay the applicable Article Processing Charges (APCs) before final publication. A limited number of APC waivers will be available. For more information, please refer to the TGIJ Submission Page.
Publication in the FOSS4G-Asia 2026 e-Proceedings does not require payment of APCs.
You can enter proposals until 2025-11-07 23:59 (Asia/Kolkata), 1 week from now.
